Crohn’s and colitis survey on diet

Do you have questions about IBD, diet, food and nutrition? We want to hear from you.

Researchers at the University of Wollongong would like to thank the people who have generously reached out so far to contribute their time to our research. Your experiences and thoughts have been valuable to our research and will ultimately support improvements in provision of care, which will benefit the whole IBD community. It has been a pleasure to talk to you all, so thank you.

We are however still looking to recruit more males and also more people who are over 60 years old and who have ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s disease.

The aim of this study is to improve our understanding of the dietary information needs of people with IBD. Understanding these questions can help improve the care dietitians provide to people with IBD.

We know people with IBD have many questions, including those about diet. In this study, we invite people with ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease to share their thoughts and questions about managing eating and diet with IBD. We are keen to hear the sorts of questions that you may have or need answers to. We also want to hear from the dietitians working in this space.

If you are interested, you will participate in a one on one confidential interview. This might take up to 1 hour. This will be conducted over Zoom or face to face or telephone. People with IBD will be reimbursed for their time.
