CCA CEO attends APAC summit

CCA CEO Leanne Raven was recently in Fukuoka, Japan, for the launch of the Statement of Consensus: Removing Barriers for Inflammatory Bowel Disease Patients in the Asia-Pacific Region.

Patient advocates and clinical experts from the region came together at the APAC Summit to discuss unmet needs in IBD. The stakeholders developed the following calls to action to improve IBD care.

* Reduce the time to diagnose and treat IBD.

* Emphasise shared decision-making for individualised and targeted care plans.

* Treat beyond inflammation, ensuring holistic care and optimized psychological well-being.

* Foster greater global collaboration among the scientific, clinical and patient communities to discover the causes of IBD
