We are pleased to announce the appointment of Jenny Ware to the Board of Directors at Crohn’s & Colitis Australia
Jenny Ware is a lawyer and senior government executive, having worked in private practice and local government for more than 20 years with a particular speciality and interest in housing, planning, government and environmental law. With demonstrated commitment to public service, Jenny served in the Federal Parliament as the Member for Hughes from 2022 to 2025.
Jenny demonstrated a strong interest in health issues during her term in Parliament through active involvement on the House Standing Committee for Health, Aged Care and Sport and establishing the Parliamentary Friends of Auto Immune Diseases.
She has previously held Non-Executive Directorships with Sylvanvale (not for profit disability services) and the Urban Development Institute of Australia (NSW).
Jenny has lived with Crohn’s Disease for two decades. Her particular interest as a Non-Executive Director of Crohn’s and Colitis Australia is to contribute with strategic engagement with members as well as potential members, raising awareness of IBD with parliamentarians and the public as well as advocating for greater funding for research, treatments and assistance for those living with IBD.
We’re thrilled to have her join the CCA Board of Directors, and look forward to the expertise she will bring.
