Live Fearless Challenge

Help improve the lives of nearly 180,000 Australians living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. By committing to 150km of activity across the month of September (just 5km a day), you’ll raise awareness and vital funds to support research, advocacy, and support services for the IBD community.

How to get involved:

  1. Register to participate in Live Fearless challenge this September
  2. Donate to a Live Fearless Challenge participant and encourage others to donate
  3. Share details about the Challenge on social media platforms and encourage your friends, family, work colleagues, and school mates to register.

Being active is important for people living with IBD because the disease can affect your bones, nutrition, psychological health and energy levels.  However, we recognise that moving 150km, or 5km per day, may be too much when you’re experiencing a flare, or feeling unwell.

We want everyone to be able to participate in the Live Fearless Challenge. So if traditional physical activities aren’t for you, consider low-intensity yoga, stretching, meditation and mindfulness practice as your preferred activity.

“Before the Live Fearless Challenge 2024, I didn’t want to tell anyone about my recent diagnosis. Doing the challenge changed that. Suddenly, I had something positive to talk about and was able to share my diagnosis in a way that helped raise awareness and funds for other people too. It totally changed the way I felt and helped reduce the stigma.”
