Into The Open
We’ve launched our new national awareness campaign-#IntoTheOpen.
We ask you to take action by making a donation and sharing our posts. Please share your experiences or stories and by bringing your support into the open you are helping to remove the stigma of the illnesses and fight the invisible bully in the bowel, Crohn’s disease or Colitis (collectively known as inflammatory bowel disease or IBD).
The funds raised from this campaign will go towards research into a Cure for IBD, running youth programs such as our teen camps which provide a supportive and fun environment for teens with IBD to thrive and meet others who are battling with these chronic diseases. Plus a new youth leadership program that will give young people with IBD the support, skills and confidence they need to help to advocate for the rights of people with Crohn’s disease or colitis. These programs build communication and leadership skills and prepare participants for larger roles such as ambassadors raising awareness in the community.
We’re asking all Australian’s to help fight an invisible bully and bring a previously undiscussed disease out into the open. Focusing on the need to remove the stigma attached to the incurable conditions of Crohn’s disease and colitis, the campaign is a brave move away from a previous trend to keep the disease under wraps.
Be a part of bringing Crohn’s & Colitis #IntoTheOpen and donate.
