Fundraise and Fun Run

Get active and raise awareness

Join a Fun Run event in your city or create your own physical challenge, to help raise funds and awareness of IBD in the community.

Moderate exercise can be helpful for people with Crohn’s and colitis.  Some research suggests that the beneficial effects of regular exercise may be in part due to the anti-inflammatory effects of myokines released due to skeletal muscle contractions.

CCA Committee member, Lachlan Pike, credits running 10km a day as an important part of monitoring his disease. However, do only what you can!  There are lots options to participate in third-party events such as runs, rides and swims at a level that works for you.

It’s as easy as, 1, 2, 3
