“It’s made me stronger than ever” – Teo’s story

I’ve had Crohn’s Disease for 15 years. I was diagnosed in 2009 when I was 11. The hospitals never knew what was going on until they had the results. In November 2009 I took medicine that made me lose all of my hair. I was bald in school, got bullied so bad, and my best friend ditched me because of my Crohn’s Disease. I finally had my surgery in 2010 that went very badly so I had to have more surgery in 2014.

Between 2019 and 2021, I was diagnosed with arthritis, a liver disease and HS skin disease. However, I finally entered into remission this year. It’s been one wild ride, but I wouldn’t change it because it’s made me stronger than ever. I love my Crohn’s Disease as it’s a part of me.
